The International Competition for Best Sustainable Development Practices, a call aimed at identifying and promoting best development practices in food security, was launched in November 2013.

All UN agencies are encouraged to participate in this competition, as an opportunity for the UN system to showcase its excellence and best practices in food security.

The deadline for submissions is 30 April 2014 and results will be published on 15 September 2014. The top 15 selected best practices will have high visibility throughout the 6 months of UN Expo 2015.
